Multiray LED SeaLite luminaires (LSL-2025) combine the functions of two fixtures in a single light. The LSL-2025 enables operators to expand vehicle capability while saving space, avoiding downtime for switching luminaires, and lowering costs compared to the multiple luminaires it replaces. Multiray expands control for optimal imaging when operators must adjust settings in changing subsea environments.

Multiray technology configures an LED SeaLite with two sets of LED sources that operate independently or in tandem. LED source options include whites, blues, greens, reds, and other colors along with ultraviolet non-visible emitters. Each set of LEDs is configurable with a selection of optics to produce beam patterns that range from a 115° wide flood to a 28° narrow spot.

Each set of LED sources is controlled by a power supply channel. Up to three operating modes are available: channel 1, channel 2, or channels 1 and 2 combined. The combined operating mode is available for sets of white LEDs or sets with matching forward voltage characteristics. The Multiray power supply adapts dynamically when switching active channels for different forward voltage or forward current characteristics. The power supply maintains full dimming and light controls for each set of LEDs when switching between operating modes.

The Multiray LED SeaLite has two control options: power cycling and SeaSense™ serial control. SeaSense provides the most flexibility for controlling Multiray power supply channels, allowing Multiray LED lights to:

  • Select an operating mode directly or cycle through enabled modes.
  • Assign Multiray operating modes and dimming levels to any of the sixteen user presets.
  • Set the default active mode and intensity at power up.
  • Change the max power limit on an operating mode and dimming level.
