SAGEEP 2020 / 1st Munitions Response Meeting | COVID-19 Update

After careful consideration of the global spread of COVID-19 (Coronavirus), the Environmental and Engineering Geophysical Society (EEGS) Board of Directors and SAGEEP 2020 Planning Committee have decided not to hold SAGEEP and the 1st Munitions Response Meeting in Denver, Colorado from March 29 to April 2, 2020. SAGEEP 2020 / 1st Munitions Response Meeting Planners and our partners, EAGE and NAOC, have worked diligently to monitor the coronavirus situation with the health, safety, and well-being of our attendees in mind. Holding our conference is now impossible in light of Denver Mayor Michael Hancock’s March 16th order prohibiting gatherings of 50 people or greater in Denver, Colorado, through May 11.

Thank you for your patience as we work diligently to address questions arising from this recent announcement. We are working with our stakeholders and venue to address the many details as we move forward.

We will provide additional information via email and on the SAGEEP 2020 web site and ask that you please refrain from calling the EEGS business office at this time as we investigate alternatives and formulated plans relevant to this latest development. In the meantime, we urge those who were planning to attend the conference to modify their travel and accommodation arrangements accordingly.

Respectfully,

Dale Werkema

EEGS President
